Joy Ann McCormick, 82, of Greenwood passed away on January 20, 2023, at her residence.  Mrs. McCormick was born on January 24, 1940, in Bloomfield, IN to James Edwin and Norine Delilah (Brockway) Campbell.  She was a longtime fourth grade teacher for Southwest Elementary in the Greenwood Community Schools.  Mrs. McCormick loved music, dancing and she even used to twirl the baton.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by her children: Michael, Mark and Marcia McCormick; brother, Bill (Brenda) Campbell; Jeanie (Roy) Shelton and Margaret Gasaway; granddaughter, Kaitlyn McCormick.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard.

Funeral services for Mrs. McCormick will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main St.  Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
