Carolyn Adams, 80, of Indianapolis passed away on May 2, 2023. Carolyn was born to Ester & Enola (Lucas) Worthington in Bloomington, Indiana on July 20, 1942. Carolyn married Richard Adams and spent many years will Richard until his passing. Carolyn worked until retirement at Franciscan Health for 47 years assisting families and patients in any way she could. Carolyn spent her time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as family meant a great deal to her as she was always caring for anyone and would help those in need no matter the circumstances. Carolyn’s heart was filled with love for others and would welcome anyone into her home. Carolyn built a strong family with her love and good deeds and a quote that can suit Carolyn would be “A mother’s love is the most unconditional and purest form of love.”
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Adams, her siblings, Lucille Smith, Ester Worthington Jr., Peggy Staley, Alberta Bullock, and Child Robert Horning
Carolyn is survived by her children; Anita Pinkerton, Vince (Chasity) Horning, Denise Cornett, Several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and other extended family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday May 11, 2023, at Singleton & St. Pierre Funeral Home, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, IN, from 4pm – 8 pm. A funeral will be held Friday May 12, 2023, at the Funeral Home at 11am with a visitation prior to the service from 10am to 11am.
A burial will immediately follow the funeral at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
