Billy Ray Ball, 67 years old of New Ross, IN, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Hendricks Regional Health. He was born March 18, 1944 in Pike Co., KY, son of the late William Cecil and Thelma Jane Hatfield Ball. He married Rosey Grubbs on October 30, 1982. She survives. He was a member of New Ross Christian Church and the Teamsters Local 716. He was an owner/operator, owning his own trucking company, Ball Trucking. Surviving are daughters, Lisa Underwood of Indianapolis, Theresa Nolan of Indianapolis and Barbara Ball Parks of Avon, son, Danny Ball of Indianapolis, sister, Patricia Mathews of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held at New Ross Christian Church on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Ronnie Wells and Layton Sparks officiating Online condolences may be made at www.porterfuneralhome.us
