Brady Raymond Edward Smith-Hughes, age 4, of Indianapolis, passed away as a result of a tragic accident on Friday morning, May 31, 2024.
Brady was born in Danville, IN on August 30, 2019, to Alexander Edward Hughes and Kylie (Smith) Banks. He was a happy, energetic and sweet little boy who loved his family very much. He enjoyed playing hide-and-go-seek, video games, role-playing with superhero costumes, being outside and watching movies. His favorite movies were “Spider-Man” “Trolls”, “Shrek”, “Cocomelon” and “Paw Patrol”. Spider-Man was his favorite superhero and he loved adding to his ooshie collection. He was learning how to shoot his bow and looking forward to going hunting with his dad. He was excited to ride his bike around the house with his little brother and to go on several vacations with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Alex Hughes of Indianapolis, Kylie Smith-Banks (Brandon), of Brownsburg, IN; brother, Dawson Banks of Brownsburg; grandparents, Lisa Schwarzkopf (KC) of Indianapolis, Kevin Hughes of Indianapolis, Douglas Smith of Brownsburg, Tina Robinson of Indianapolis, David Banks (Robin) and Wendi Mahurin (Frank) of Port Charlotte, FL; great grandparents, Joann Clark (Herb) of Indianapolis, Hilda Buttz of Indianapolis, Barbara Schwarzkopf of New Palestine, IN, Donna Wolfe of Jamestown, John Hudson of Lebanon, David Banks (Diane) of Seymour and great-great grandmother, Iris Hudson of Jamestown; Aunts, Sidney Schwarzkopf of Indianapolis and Nicole Sigwalt (Ian) and Chelsie Lekends (Jake) of Seymour; Uncles, Aaron Schwarzkopf of Indianapolis and Kyle Smith of Brownsburg; and great aunt, Denise Smith of Speedway.
Brady was preceded in death by his great grandparents, the late Joyce and Byron Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 7 at 11AM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory- Greenwood Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 6, from 6PM – 8PM and again from 10AM until the time of service on Friday morning. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
