Claude Emmett Jeffries

Claude E. Jeffries, 95, Brownsburg, died January 26, 2010. After growing up the son of Oscar and Josephine Jeffries in the North Salem area, he retired from the R.R. Donnelly & Sons Company in 1976 after more than 39 years of service. Following nineteen years residence in Florida after retirement, he relocated in Brownsburg in 1996. Private graveside services will be held in the Jamestown IOOF Cemetery at a later date. Survivors include his wife of over 71 years, Miriam Steele Jeffries; a daughter, Jane Jeffries Runyon of Brownsburg; two grandsons; two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Jeffries, a sister, Helen Ruth, and his parents. Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown is handling the arrangements.
