Danny Evan Trent, 58 years old of Jamestown, IN, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015. He was born September 26, 1957 in Lebanon, IN, son of the late Walter E. and Norma Lou (Buckingham) Trent. Danny married Sandra Courtney in 1975. She survives. He was a member of Advance Community Christian Church. He retired from Rolls Royce where he worked as a Stationary Powerhouse Engineer. He started a business, Trent Heat & Cool, with his son, Tyler. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and boating. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all of their various activities. Danny touched many lives through coaching sports. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Heather (Justin) Ford of Jamestown, son, Tyler G. (Amanda) Trent of Jamestown, grandchildren, Breanna Trent, Reagan Barton, Coy Barton, Evan Trent, Kylee Trent, and Zoey Trent, sisters, Donna Parker of Lebanon and Betty (Don) Russell of Jamestown, brother, Gary (Sandy) Trent of Ladoga and sister, Betsy Thomas of Yuma, AZ, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Johnson. Family and friends will gather Monday, November 16, 2015, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Advance Community Christian Church, 2675 S. SR 75, Advance, IN. Services will be held at the church, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating. Danny will be laid to rest in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society117 W. Elm Street, Lebanon, IN 46052. Can't believe it's been SIX YEARS! Still think of you often!

Worked with Danny for many,many years. My thoughts and prayers go to the family. Danny was a great person and friend,may God bless you in your time of sorrow.

As Danny's cousin I have probably not seen him in over 40 years. Still I immediately recognized his photo. My sincere sympathy to his family. I have great memories of my Trent cousins at Grandma Pratt's home.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

So sorry to hear of Danny's passing. Always loved this guy and have great memories of him as my softball coach when I was young. Great family. Condolences especially to Heather and Tyler.

So sorry to hear about Danny's passing. We lived in Advance before moving to Maricopa, AZ last year. Danny helped us several times with cooling and heating issues. My thoughts are with the family.

A great piece has been ripped away from the fabric of the Trent and Courtney families. One that will be impossible to replace, but slowly, day by day as we all remember our special times with you, the hole will be filled with and the rip will be sown back together with the thread of our memories of you. I think I can speak for all your nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews when I say that we all have always known we are special to you and that we all look up to you as someone we want to be like. I personally knew when you, a high school senior, rode the bus with me on my first day of kindergarten so I wouldn't be afraid that you had my back always. You had all our backs always. Uncle Danny, you left a deep mark on us all, and left us with great memories that will be talked about with others and deeply cherished for our entire lives. Thank you for that. Although it hurts deeply here on earth, I know there were glorious reunions in Heaven when you walked through those gates. I can just see that Uncle Danny smile! I love you so much.....
