David Allen

David “Sonny” D. Allen, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Greenwood, Indiana. He was born to the late David S. and Olga (Beck) Allen in Greenwood, Indiana. On June 9, 1957 David married his high school sweetheart, Lois Stretchberry. David retired from BMG, formerly RCA. After retirement, his interests included gardening and he became a Master Gardener. He was a member of Rocklane Christian Church for 52 years.David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois, two daughters, Dawna Money (Gary), and Shannon Meyer (John). He is also survived by one brother, Meredith Allen (Sarah Catherine), five grandchildren; Justin, Courtney, Anthony, Katie, and Matthew, as well as four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tamra Anne Allen.A visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 from 3-7 P.M. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 481 West Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana, 46143. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3rd at 11 A.M. at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood, 46143. Friends and family may visit from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Rocklane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rocklane Christian Church Building Fund, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood, Indiana, 46143.
