Eliza Ann Witt, 94 years old of Advance, IN, passsed away Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born June 26, 1921 in Boone County, daughter of the late Bruce and Rushie (Bartlett) Whiteman. Eliza married Earl Witt in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of the Advance Community Christian Church. Surviving are her sons, William Witt and Keith Witt, sister, Betty Carroll, grandchildren, Tim, Bryan and Crystal and great-grandchildren, Israel and Maggie. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Granville, Tom and Lloyd Whiteman and half-brothers, Keifer and Byron Whiteman. Family and friends will gather Thursday, December 3, 2015, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Advance Community Christian Church, Advance, Indiana. Services will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating. Eliza will be laid to rest in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Shank and his staff, Pastor Steve Vitaniemi, Danny Mitchell and everyone who has been there for Mom during her illness and passing. I will never forget my mamaw. I spent a lot of time with her growing up. I will always cherish the memories and know that one day I'll see her again

So sorry to hear of Liza's passing, my memories of her and Earl are all great memories. She was one of the sweetest women I have ever known. I was just telling my granddaughter just this past Sunday of the toy dog that I rec'd when I was just 2yrs old, and how Earl wrote his name on the top of his head. I still have that dog 53 yrs later, and it still brings back great memories. Loved when Earl and Liza came for visits when I was a little girl. May Liza now rest in peace, and know that she made great memories for this little girl. Love to all of the family, Patty (Kelly) Crisp and family.
