Mark K Walton, 48 years old of North Salem, IN, died Thursday, July 1, 2010. He was born August 9, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN, son of Verne Clay Walton, Jr. and Vera Keal Walton. He married Kathy Wray on June 20, 1987. She survives. He was a member of North Salem United Methodist Church and the NRA. He was a 1979 graduate of North Putnam High School. He worked at Praxair in Indianapolis for 18 years as a laboratory technician. He was also a life-long farmer. He was a loving husband and father. He loved farming. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed talking and visiting with his friends and family. Surviving are his mother, Vera Walton, wife, Kathy Walton, son, Eric K Walton, daughter, Kelsey Walton, both of North Salem, sisters, Lisa Anne (Kurt) Harker of West Lafayette and Amy Lynn (Stephen) Spencer of North Salem, nieces, Haylie Spencer and Ashley Wray, nephew, Jared Wray, great-niece, Kyla Wray, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received Monday, July 5, 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the North Salem United Methodist Church with Pastors Ann Spahr and Dan Cline officiating.
