Mildred K. Hanshew, 86, passed away January 30, 2023, after a brief illness.
She was born on July 18th, 1936, in Anderson, the daughter of the late George and Marguerite McFall (Hanes). She was a loving wife of 59 years and a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She had a love of cooking/baking and entertaining others. She was a very active member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the sorority Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Alan (Kim) Hanshew and Scott David (Dawn) Hanshew all of Anderson; three grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley) Hanshew of Danville, Taylor Shoemaker (Chris) and Madison Hanshew both of Anderson; she was a proud great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren, Hadleigh, Reagan, and Kane; two brothers, Steve (Carolyn) McFall, Keith (Beth) McFall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Mark H. Hanshew.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory and 1 hour prior to service at the church.
Service will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 310 East 53rd St., Anderson, IN with Pastor Matt Manning officiating. Burial will be at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
