Norma Louise Griggs

Norma Louise Griggs, 89 years old of Danville, IN, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 in Hendricks Regional Health. She was born September 30, 1924 in Jamestown, IN, daughter of the late Edgar and Amy (Woodrum) Byram. Norma was a member of Danville Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed watching the Waltons and Dancing With The Stars. She loved her grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Thomas (LaVonne) Griggs of Channahon, IL, and Jim (LuMar) Griggs of Mooresville, daughter, Sue (David) Storm of Danville, brothers, John Byram and Paul Byram, both of Brownsburg, sister, Ann (Paul) Leach of Danville, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Griggs and sisters, Judy Rodgers, Katherine Graves and Shirley Moody. Family and friends will gather Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Norma will be laid to rest in the Montgomery Cemetery, Lizton, IN.
