Ruby Jane Cummins Graves, 86, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. Ruby was born December 26, 1928 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Ott and Thula (Brown) Cummins. She married her high school sweetheart Ernie M. Graves on October 11, 1947. Ernie passed away December 11, 1998. Ruby graduated from Advance. She worked for over 20 years at McConnell Publishing in Indianapolis. Ruby is survived by her daughter Linda (Steve) Dickerson of Jamestown; her son Mike (Cindy) Graves of Franklin; her grandchildren Kelli Dickerson, Greg (Sherrie) Dickerson, Todd (Jamie) Graves, and Jennifer (Andrew) Leach; her great-grandchildren Mitchell Hodgen, Marshall Hodgen, Madison Hodgen, Aaron Dickerson, Tyler Dickerson, Stefanie Dickerson, Christian Leach, Bailey Leach, Leanne Graves, and Kaylee Graves; and her sister Florence Reynolds. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Clara Spivey and Hazel Carter. Family and friends will gather Monday, August 10, 2015 for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and services will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Ruby will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery in Jamestown. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, 109 N. Lebanon Street, Jamestown, Indiana.
