Terrell G. Bottoms

Terrell G. “Terry” Bottoms, 64, of Poland, Indiana died December 26 at Roudebush Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. The only child of the late Travis Lee and Sylvia Chelf Bottoms Besseford Terry was born in Marion County, Indiana on June 30, 1949. He graduated from Monrovia High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. serving from 1967 until 1976. Terry was always proud of his military experience and was actively involved in the Speedway VFW Post 2839 having served as Commander and Quarter Master for over 12 years. Terry worked as a manager with U-Haul most recently and worked in many different capacities over the years. Survivors include his wife, Teresa L. (Smith) Bottoms; children, Melissa (Jamie) Smith of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Rick Green of Vigo County, Indiana, Travis Bottoms of Worthington, Indiana and Steph Schaeffer and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William “Billy” Bottoms. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, December 28 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Porter Funeral Home, 6 S. California Street, North Salem. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29 with Pastor Dave Dyer officiating in the funeral home. Mr. Bottoms will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.
