Barbara Faye Summers

Barbara Faye Summers, age 76, of Mooresville, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on January 29, 2024. She was born in Kentucky to Homer and Juanita Eldridge on May 6, 1947. Barbara’s loving heart and giving spirit were felt by her family and friends, whom she loved to spend time with. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Jubilee Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her children: James Michael Hudson of Indianapolis, Carla (Quentin) Sweet of Indianapolis; brothers: Garland Ray Eldridge of Monrovia, and Mark Anthony Eldridge of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband: Earl Henry Summers, Jr.; parents: Homer and Juanita Eldridge; daughter: Angie DeLarosa; brothers: Denny Eldridge, and James Claude Eldridge; as well as her sister: Donna Fields.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
