It was very special reconnecting again with Barb when I moved across the street in Bradford Place in 2018-I will miss the comfort of her being close by. Barb will always be very fondly in my memories. We’d visit and reminisce our growing up years in Wanamaker, at FT Schools, and at New Bethel Baptist Church. Wonderful memories! Love to all her family.

I met Barb through my son-in-law, Chris Walker, Barbs nephew. Barb and I became friends and shared conversations over lunch and at family gatherings. She was interesting, kind, and enjoyable to be with. I will truly miss her. My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.

Barbara will be missed by many. I have been a friend since we meet in first grade. We have worked on reunion committee together and remained close over the years. Always one to help people and keep everyone informed on classmates if they had problems. Our class was always close and seemed like a family. I know everyone feels like we are losing a matriarch. She will never be forgotten. She definitely has a special spot in heaven.

I met Barb at Lifepoint Christian Church, during our “Plan and Promise” Bible study of all the books of the Bible, taking four years to walk through the curriculum. She told me of her blessed life and being in remission from cancer. She was an inspiration and I enjoyed talking with her. She will be missed but I know she is finally home and I shall see her again. May our Lord give her family and friends the peace that passes all understanding and comfort.

Even though my relationship with Barb was only for a few years, she had a profound affect on my life. I enjoyed the small group/Bible Study that we shared for a couple of years. When I was in need of help when taking care of my brother, she led me to a man who had a major affect on my ability to do what I needed to do for my brother. His son has also been helpful as well. I will forever be grateful for her guidance. I know that Barb rests with Jesus.

My heart breaks for the family and friends of Bj, the only name by which I ever knew her - I worked with her at BHP&B in the 70’s and 80’s, with both of our attorneys being in the Labor Department. Bj was my rock back then, showing me all the ropes of working in a large law firm. We reconnected the past few years with other BHP&B alumni, meeting once or twice a year for lunch. Bj will always have a special place in my heart - such an example - she truly lived her life as a child of God - I will miss your smile Bj, along with your strength - rest in peace in your heavenly home. Much love, Barb

To BJ's family and many friends, I am so saddened to learn of BJ's passing. She was such a lovely woman. I looked up to her as the queen of secretaries when I worked with her as a legal secretary at Barnes & Thornburg. She was knowledgeable and strong but gentle and compassionate. I will miss knowing she is in the world but her strong faith is surely letting her fly with the angels in heaven. Rest In Peace, BJ. God bless you. Myrna
