Becky Ann Dowden

Becky Ann Dowden, 75, of Anderson, passed away on October 23, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 25, 1948, in Anderson to the late Robert Paul and Etna May (McClure) Ditteon. Becky was a caregiver for many years at Hopewell Center. She greatly enriched the lives of everyone at Hopewell and loved each of her clients like they were family. She loved doing crafts and creating floral arrangements. Becky was a collector; she collected coins, political buttons, and Hummel Figurines. Becky gave the best hugs, and she had unconditional love for every single person she met. We thank her for loving us and the world is a little dimmer without her in it.

Becky will be dearly missed by her sister, Lorie (Tom) Ruth; brother, Rick (Marge) Ditteon; nieces, Mary (David) Duffy, Amy (Sean) Earl, Michelle (Steven) Hallmark, Paula (Josh) Schultz, Katey (Sean) Preuss, Lauren (Brennon) Deike, and Morgan (Dylan) Powell; nephew, Ethan Powell; sister-in-law, Marte Dowden; and numerous cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Monte Ray Dowden.

The visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN, 46013. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. For those who knew Becky, you know how much she loved flowers.
