Benny Samuel Elliott, age 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. He was born on Sunday, April 2, 1933 in Springfield, Tennessee, to Winfred and Cora Elliott, both of whom precede him in death. Benny worked throughout his life as a butcher, excavator and mechanic. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable and flower gardens, but most of all, he loved the Lord. He is very much loved and missed by his family and friends. Benny is survived by his children: Loretta (Larry) Koepp, Benny R. (Kathy) Elliott, Diane (Nick) Juranko, and Sheila (Doug) Mertens; stepchildren: Gail Mehrlich, Robert Bragdon, and Shellie Miller; sister: Helon Bridges; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his wife: Alberta J. Elliott. Services for Benny will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, Indianapolis Chapel.
