Dear Paula and Karen, Iola let me know about Bernard's passing. I was so sorry to hear that. We didn't get to be with him very often, but always felt our family ties when we were together. I didn't know he and my mother shared a birthday. My mother always felt close to Paul and Maybelle, Bernard and Karen. I plan to watch the memorial service online on December 12. This is Connie from the Park Place Church Food Pantry. I want you to know how I liked and appreciated your Bernie and how sorry I was to read that he had passed. He always came over to see Sylvia and me before the neighbors began to come into the building. He would shake our hands, ask how we were and then tell some Anderson College story. We miss you and Bernie at the pantry and I know you will now miss him terribly. I hope your memories and the love of your family and friends will comfort you as you grieve his loss.
