



















Carol Ann (Jankowicz) Raub of Zionsville, IN passed away September 14, 2023 at the age of 72.
Carol was born in Chicago, IL on November 8, 1950. She was the first of two daughters of Lucille and Raymond Jankowicz. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northern Illinois University and her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana University. Carol was a practicing ICU registered nurse and later surgical recovery nurse for over 40 years. She was an outstanding nurse and dedicated to all of her patients.
Carol married Robin Raub, DDS on August 4, 1979. They were married for over 44 years and enjoyed dining out, going to the State Fair, the Covered Bridge Festival and Art Fairs.
Carol was a lifelong animal lover. She enjoyed riding horses and owned several throughout her life. Carol had a particular love of pugs and could be found frequently at dog competitions with them. She was especially proud of her pug Rudy’s Conformation and Agility Championships. Carol also enjoyed her cats. Any stray cat on her property would automatically have a permanent home. Carol’s other hobbies included baking, reading and doing needlework.
Carol is preceded in death by her father Raymond and mother Lucille. She is survived by her husband Robin, her sister Laura Kinch, her sister-in-law Becky Burgardt and her husband Jeff, along with her niece Stephanie (David) Wilson, nephew Ryan (Abigail) Brown and nephew Tyler (Claire) Burgardt. Carol was Great Aunt to Joshua, Violet, Liliana, Ryan Jr., Archer and Bezie.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday September 21, 2023 at Simplicity Funeral (125 W. Sycamore Street, Zionsville, Indiana 46077) between 11:00-1:00. A prayer service will begin at 1:00 with interment immediately afterwards at Zionsville Cemetery.
