Clifford Raymond Teague,81, of New Ross, died Thursday, June 13 peacefully at his residence with his family by his side. He was born March 17, 1932, the son of Joseph W. and Bertha (Williams) Teague in Knox County, Kentucky. He married Ellen Henderson Teague on June 19, 1953, She surives. Teague graduated form New Ross High School in 1953. He proudly served his county in the National Guard. Mr. Teague worked at Union Carbide for 32 years having retired in 1985. He was an avid golfer and after retiring he worked at Tomahawk Hills Golf Course from 1985 until 2010. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and fishing. Survivors include his children, Mike (Rhonda) Teague of New Ross, Lynn (John) Robinson of Lafayette and Karen (Mike) Manne of Lake Odessa, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Mandy, Megan, John, Dru, Adam, Clay and Leanna; eight great- grandchildren, Jayce, Aiden,Ameerah, Gabriella, Alyssa, Alexah, Eva and Jack; sisters Joe Ann Rice of Centerville, Virginia and Willie Bee Rowe of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kenneth, Irene and Roberta. Family and friends will gather Friday, June 14 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main Street, Jamestown. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Mr. Teague will be laid to rest in the New Ross Cemetery.
