Coy Roman Renner, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away January 29, 2015. He leaves behind his precious, beautiful wife of 58 years, Loretta (Vaughn) Renner; 2 daughters: Connie (Joe) Bastin and Rhonda (Bub) Harton; 3 sons: Robbin Renner, Randy Renner, and Brian Renner; 2 brothers: Arles Renner, whose wife MaryLou preceded him in death, and Bobby (Diane) Renner; 8 grandchildren: Summer (Kevin) Harbour, Holly (Brad) Ton, Casey (Noel) Solis, Larry Baire, Natalie Bastin, Chandra (Charlie) McClure, Mariah Coy Kern, and Jason Cambell; and 10 greatgrandchildren: Donnie Logan, Charity Renner, Parker Dillion, Carter Dillion, Hayden Harbour, Jack Harbour, Elia McClure, Cal Harbour, Jordan Tod, and a very special grandson, Julian J. Kern Holder, who has spent the last four years filling their lives daily with joy, peace, lots of love and hugs, and making them smile and laugh. Coy’s son-in-law, Bub Harton, his private mechanic and driver, would take Coy and their little sidekick Julian to “Julian’s Valley” and “Pappa Coy’s Town” on their road trips to Kentucky.Coy is also survived by his sisters-in-law Brenda (Glenn) Click, Helen (Rainy) Evans, and Thelma Gregg, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews, including: Caroline Short, Theresa (John) Herberst, Alene (Keith) Graybill, Danny Mink, Katrina Gray, Jamie Renner, David Renner, Terry Renner, Tim (Samantha) Renner, Jeff(Shelly) McKenny, Paula Hahn, Glenn “Bubby” Click, Tony Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, Stephanie Durham, Dennis Durham, special niece Theresa Vaughn Daniel, Travis (Morgan) Still, Austin Daniel, Rachel and Tiffany, Katie Renner, Shonda Renner, Nathan Renner, Justin Renner, Jamie Renner, David Renner, Jason Gregg, Tory Gregg, Darrel Evans, Roy Evans, Ronnie Evans, Loria Evans, and Tina Evans. Also surviving is Coy’s best friend, Paul Demsey Wilson, 86, from Keno, Kentucky. They shared a 50 year friendship and loved each other very much, especially their time spent playing music together along with Coy’s brothers. Coy was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Jewel (Bullock) Renner; his son Donny Renner; grandson Blakely Renner; 2 brothers: Lloyd (Lillian) Renner (she survives), and Carter (Emmie) Renner (she survives); 2 sisters: Minnie (Boyd) Mink and Lilly (Jack) McKenny (he survives); brother-in-law Sonnie (Nevie) Wilson Vaughn (she survives); special sister-in-law Inez Vaughn; nieces: Angie Mink, Regina Renner, and Lisa Renner; and nephews: Allen Renner, Robert Mink, and Jimmy Mink. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 3, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, with calling from 3 – 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
