David L. Boys Sr.

David L. Boys Sr., 80, of Anderson, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.  He was born on November 23, 1942 to the late Clarence and Laura Mae (Forsythe) Boys.  David was married to the love of his life Linda C. Boys for an amazing 62 years.

He was a graduate from Anderson High School in 1960.  In David’s life he worked as a journeyman for Delco Remy as a Tool and Die Machine Repairman for 46 years.  He was a very passionate Catholic and was a life member of the church at St. Mary’s.  David was also a bus driver for St. Mary’s, St. Ambrose, and the Anderson School Corporation for 20 years.  In David’s spare time he enjoyed eating ice cream and popcorn while he watched tv, specifically Sci-Fi movies.  He was also a jack of all trades when it came to his wood working skills and working on cars.

David is survived by his loving wife, Linda C. Boys; children, Darlinda Grice of Virginia, David Boys Jr. of Anderson, Dennis Michael Boys of Virginia, Veronica Garrison Church of North Carolina, and Bill Boys of Pendleton; brother, Donald Rex Boys; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Bill Boys; 1 granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory, followed by a Rosary Service at 7pm at the funeral home.  Funeral Service will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1 pm at St. Mary’s Church in Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to St. Mary’s Church.
