David L. Keown

David L. Keown, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024. David was the sixth child born to Harold and Mary (McCauly) Keown on December 21, 1955. David loved all animals but especially dogs. He never met a dog he didn’t love and who didn’t love him back.

David worked as a welder at Eagle Magnetic Co. before going into real estate.

David was a good son, brother, uncle, dog dad and friend, and he will be missed dearly. He is survived by his sister, Connie (Keown) Bradshaw; brother, Richard Keown; beloved dog, Max; extended family, Kristen Patterson, Michelle (Patterson) Burt, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly (Keown) Jeffcoat; brother, Kenny Keown, and brother Jim Keown.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to ASPCA.

Funeral services are Monday, April 22 at 1:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service. David will be laid to rest at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis following the service.
