Dennis D Stefanov, 28, of Greenwood passed away on January 23rd, 2023. Dennis was born to Bulgarian natives Dimi and Margarita Stefanov in Bad Soden, Germany on September 1st , 1994.
In 1996, the family relocated to Greenwood, Indiana where he grew up.
Dennis graduated from Center Grove High School in 2013 and attended Indiana University for a short while before continuing his education at IUPUI in pursuit of a Neuroscience degree.
Between his break in education, Dennis spent a year teaching English in Bulgaria (where all four of his grandparents still reside) and took a Psychodrama course at the International Academy JL Moreno where he obtained a certificate for being first in his class.
Upon returning home to the US, he found enjoyment in production, being a part-time Production Assistant for Good Bones on HGTV.
In his spare time Dennis enjoyed writing and assisting with making short films and videos. He had a knack for writing poems and enjoyed attending open mics. One of his poems, Torrential , can be found in “Sinew – 10 Years of Poetry in the Making”, published in 2021.
Dennis was also an avid rock climber, traveler, and snowboarder and found comfort in being around his friends. His friends meant the world to him.
All who knew Dennis would describe him as highly intellectual and a great conversationalist with a sense of humor. He was a person that would always be there for others.
Dennis is survived by his parents, Dimiter and Margarita Stefanov of Greenwood, Indiana, and brother Jordan Stefanov and wife Paola of Dallas, Texas; grandparents, Elena and Yordan Stefanov of Sofia, Bulgaria, Jivka and Milko Vasilev of Sofia, Bulgaria. Also survived by, Sotir Stefanov and wife Berni of Honolulu, Hawaii and Eftim Stavrev and Ralitsa of Sofia, Bulgaria; cousins, Mihail Stavrev of Sofia, Bulgaria and Skylar Stefanov of Honolu, Hawaii as well as numerous other extended family members who will miss him very much.

A visitation and services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at Simplicity & Cremation Care, 7520 Madision Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. A funeral will immediately follow the visitation.
