Dolores Lynn Knowles

Dolores “Lori” Knowles, nee Skorupa, passed away December 2, 2021 after suffering many years with dementia. She was a loved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend of many. Lori was born April 26, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Doris and Eugene Skorupa, the middle of 2 siblings: Sandy Barnett of Zachary, LA, and the late Al Skorupa.She and her late husband Jack were realtors in Michigan City, IN until 1998 when they retired to Florida for 12 years. They finally settled back in Indianapolis, IN to be closer to family.She is survived by her children: Julie (Curtis) Salyer of Knoxville, TN, Judi Lant of Michigan City, IN, David (Jessica) Rick of Indianapolis, IN; step daughter: Jackie (Jeff) Haddon of Chicago,IL; four grandchildren: Chris Salyer, Justin (Anastasia) Salyer, Alyssa Lant and Alex (Shelbi) Lant; and three great grandchildren: Braiyden, Levi and Lucas Lant.Lori is preceded in death by her husband: Jack L Knowles; parents, grandparents, brother, and step son: Tony DeVos.Services for Lori will be private per her wishes.Please always pray for dementia patients all over the world.
