Donald C. Thompson

94 of Port Orange, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born May 19, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Chester & Ella Thompson. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years. He was a private pilot for over 70 years. Donald owned and worked with his brother in their plastering business for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann in 1995. He found love and companionship when he moved to Florida and married Gloria Brown in 2003. She passed away in January 2023.

Donald is survived by his children, Judy Thompson of Greenwood, IN, Terry (Julie) Thompson of Greenwood, IN, brother, Richard (Berniece) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, sisters, Rosemary (Dexter) Cooley of Greenwood, IN, Alice (Andy) Dzenitis of Louisville, KY, grandchildren, Shawn (Christina) Harris, of Anderson, IN, Matthew Wilson of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nicholas (Dena) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel (Matt) Moorhead of Zionsville, IN and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 28^th at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood, IN with a visitation from 12:00 pm to service time. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, IN.
