Donald Ralph “Don” Arbuckle, 87, Pendleton, passed away December 11, 2015, at St Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born November 22, 1928, in Anderson and lived in the area all of his life. He was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School. Don served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1947 to 1957. He retired from Delco Remy in 1998 after 47 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lions Club of Pendleton, East Side Community Club of Anderson and volunteered at Community Hospital Anderson. He also volunteered as a big brother for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sarah “Sally” Arbuckle; daughters; Diane (Dave) Roberts of New Palestine and Debra Roesler of Alexandria; granddaughters, Jill (Adam) West, Stacey Tanner, Christina Roesler and Jennifer Roesler; great-grandchildren, Cory Discordia, Alicia Jones, and Austin Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Wayne Arbuckle, a daughter, Carol Ann Arbuckle; and a brother, Kenneth Arbuckle.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E 53rd St., Anderson, with Rev. William Mathys officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Lions Club of Pendleton or the American Cancer Society.
