My heartfelt condolences to Doug's family and friends. I also served with Doug at Craig Air Force base in Selma, AL. What I remember most about Doug is his sense of humor and his love of his home city, Indianapolis. RIP my friend.

My prayers and condolences go to Doug’s wife and family. I first met Doug when we were stationed together at Craig Air Force Base in Selma Alabama. We both worked on aircraft instrumentation on T37s, T 38, and T33 aircraft. After spending approximately 18 months at Craig Air Force Base we were both given orders for Vietnam but we had to attend Special training for the F4C aircraft we would be working on. The training was at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina. After training Doug was sent to Cam Ranh Bay I was sent to Saigon Tan Son Nhut Air Base I eventually ended up getting transferred to Da Nang airbase for my last nine months in Vietnam. Doug was a good friend We always worked great together when we were in the service and partied together on our free time. Doug will always be in my thoughts and prayers reminiscing about the time worked and the times we just hung out together. Rich Halpern
