Mr. Dwight Carmichael

October 28, 1945 - October 21, 2021

Dwight E. Carmichael, 75, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 28, 1945, in Indianapolis to the late Bryan & Gladys (King) Carmichael. Dwight graduated from Maxwell High School and then went on to farm for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam. When not farming he enjoyed modeling cars, solving crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and cheering on IU & Colts. Dwight is survived by his wife, Eleonore C. (Humbert) Carmichael; daughters, Tina (husband, Mark) Reeves & Denise (husband, Matthew Walsh) Elliott; brother, Dennis (wife, Marjorie) Carmichael; sisters, Anita Dusang & Marsha (husband, Paul) Veach; four grandchildren, Brandon (wife, Nina) Elliott, Brooke (companion, Blake Candler) Elliott, Kaitlin & Megan Reeves; two step grandchildren, Destinee & Devon Foster; two great grandchildren, Houston Elliott & Emerson Candler. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Raymond Dusang. Private services were entrusted to Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Memorial contributions in Dwight’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

What a nice neighbor. I could always look out in the fields and see Dwight working. His life was farming . Eleanor is also a wonderful neighbor. She is a very pleasant and kind person . Denise babysat for my daughters when they were little and Tina worked in my husbands office I am glad to know the Carmichael family, I am sorry for the loss of Dwight and will pray for them to have peace during this time
