I will never forget the winter I had spun out on Smith Valley Rd. I was on top of a snow bank (how I got up there I will never know) and I was trying to figure out what to do. I looked up and at the drivers side window, you were standing there. You said you were taking Karen to work and you saw me and had to stop. You said you’d be back to help me, and me trying to be brave, told you not to worry about it. When I was safely in a parking lot, terrified to even try to drive, here you came and I just cried. We became best of friends! When you retired, I missed you, but now I won’t see you for a long time and I’m just not sure this giant hole will ever be filled. Miss ya buddy!

I am SO thankful that God put it in my heart to see you in the hospital on Sunday and that I was able to hold your hand and speak with you. I pray you heard my words. Karen, love and hugs to you and the kids. He was an amazing, sweet man, but you already knew that of course.
