Elaine M. O'Neal

Elaine (Bolin) O’Neal, 92 of Wilkinson, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Golden Living in Greenfield. She was born May 22, 1928 in Willow Branch, the daughter of the late Fred H. and Maude (Simmons) Bolin. Elaine graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Gene “Tink” O’Neal on August 28, 1948 and celebrated 68 years of marriage. She spent all her life in Hancock County. She was a farmwife, homemaker and also worked at the Willow Branch Bank for 33 years. She was a member of the Willow Branch United Methodist Church. Elaine’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Apple; sons, Roger (JoAnn) O’Neal and Richard O’Neal (Jane Penman) all of Wilkinson; seven grandchildren, Darlene Apple (Brenda Wolski), Christy (Todd) Stephenson, Jennifer (Drew) Medland, Chris (Clarissa) O’Neal, Melissa (Jeff) Lawson, Ryan (Jamie) O’Neal, and Jason O’Neal; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene O’Neal; sister, Elouise Kellberg; infant sister, Barbara; son-in-law, Tom Apple; and niece, Nancy Kellberg Monk. Due to COVID-19 19 the family has requested a private family visitation at Condo St Pierre Funeral Home in Wilkinson on Tuesday December22, 2020. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
