Elizabeth Stillabower

Elizabeth (Witt) Stillabower, 86 of Franklin passed away March 11, 2016 at 5:03 A.M. in her home. She was born on November 2, 1929 in Whiteland to the late Clyde and Helen (Gaunce) Witt.She married Lyle Wayne Stillabower on June 9, 1948 and he preceded her death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lyle Wayne Stillabower, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Lynn Stillabower.Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She sold Avon, had a wedding catering business, babysat, volunteered for the Girls Club and Franklin Band, and donated her time to the food bank.In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Debby) Stillabower, Thomas (Terry) Stillabower, Donald Stillabower, Roger (Lois) Stillabower, and Rita Stillabower; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.A service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
