Elsie Juanita Daulton, age 93 of Indianapolis, IN departed this life on December 30, 2020, due to COVID-19.She was born in 1927 to C. Columbus and Gertie B. (Leigh) Calhoun in rural Pulaski County, KY where she attended country schools.In 1946 she married Eugene Daulton and they established their home in Indianapolis, IN where they raised four children and she lived until her death.Juanita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, quilting, embroidery, scrapbooking, baking and trying various crafts.� During her teen years she accepted Christ as her personal Savior.� She enjoyed her private Bible study and for many years was an active member of University Heights Baptist Church where she helped in Sunday school, sang in the choir, and volunteered in numerous ways.She was employed prior to, and after raising her children, in factory, food and retail establishments until the age of 89.She will be remembered for her youthful, cheerful and curious outlook filled with her smile and unpretentiousness.� Her mind and energy were creative and industrious while retaining a quiet, persevering spirit through the storms of life.She is survived by her children, Ronald (Phyllis) Daulton, Mark (Markita) Daulton, and Judith (David) Remiger; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Daulton; son, Gregory Daulton; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Lydia Daulton; her parents, her brothers and sisters, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, two hours prior to the funeral service at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227.� Internment will immediately follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.Per State and County mandates services and visitations are limited to 50 people or less.� Masks are mandatory and to be worn at all times, as is social distancing.If one desires to make a memorial contribution, Gideons International would be suggested.
