Waneta (Frances) Routh, 88 of New Ross, died peacefully in her sleep on November 6, 2012. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Countryside Meadows where she resided in her last year, for their compassionate care. Born on April 24, 1924 in Mace, IN, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert K. Routh, father and mother, Otto and Dorothy Weir, and 2 of her precious grandchildren, Roger K. Routh and Bobby Routh. She was an exceptionally loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law to her family. She will be remembered by all for her smile, her laughter, the flowers around her home, the Christmas season where she went to every extent possible to light up everyone’s lives, and her enjoyment of life. She retired from Farmers State Bank of New Ross. Her activities included the Golden Girls, Wisk Club, Eastern Star, New Ross Christian Church and Ladies Auxiliary of New Ross. Survivors include her sons, James C. Routh (Sandy), Michael L. Routh (Betsie), brother Clyde Weir, grandchildren, Kimberly Needham (David) and Matthew Bowen and 4 great-grandchildren, Delaney, Bradley, Mikayla and Kaitlyn. Visitation will be at Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, IN, Saturday, November 10th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in New Ross Cemetery.
