Frank W. Heritz, 91, Anderson, passed away June 29, 2016, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born May 22, 1925, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, the son of the late Frank and Elsie Heritz. He served in the US Army Air Corp and was a 1949 graduate from Purdue University and attended Stanford University Executive Mgt Program in 1960.
Frank retired in 1980 from Delco-Remy as Plant Superintendent after 31 years. He has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1951, Anderson Noon Exchange Club since 1960 and a former member of the Anderson Elk’s Lodge #209 for 41 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A. (Tommy) Wood of Sandy, OR and Barbara K. (Mike) Lindzy of Anderson; three step-daughters, Cindy Darlington, Charysse (Chuck) Kile all of Anderson and Coni (Mike) Stevens of AZ; grandchildren, Jim Lindzy, Jenny (Tim) Church, Kim (Mike) Plummer, Todd (Tara) Darlington and Andy (Amy) Darlington; great grandchildren, Amber & Clayton Lindzy, Caitlyn & Emma Plummer, Aidan, Chase, Reis, Sara & Drew Darlington, Madison Frank, Kara & Kevin Kile; great great grandchild Hayden Avery Borders and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Lana (Jay) Moore.
He proceeded in death by his wife of 38 years, Margaret S. Heritz in 2013; two grandsons, Kevin and Richard Kile and three siblings.
Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Richard True officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
