Gerald Dee Canada

Gerald Dee Canada, 87 years old of Ladoga, In, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1922 in Lebanon, IN, son of the late George G. and Edna Meek Canada. He married Billie Jean Canada on October 5, 1946. She preceded him in death. He served as a Bombardier in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of Hazelrigg F & A.M. and the American Legion in Jamestown. He was a lifelong farmer in Montgomery & Boone counties. Surviving are sons, Dennis (Nancy) Canada and Larry (Linda) Canada, both of Ladoga and Garry Canada of Jamestown, 3 granddaughters and 3 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by one sister. Friends will be received Thursday, August 5, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Graveside services will be held at the Jamestown I.O.O.F. cemetery on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Whitaker officiating.
