Guido C. Speedy, 95, passed away at his Anderson residence. He was born in Anderson and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors after 47 years. Family, I'm sorry for Guido's passing. I worked directly with him several years in the Guide Optics Lab. I got to know him better on a trip to the GM Proving Grounds in Phoenix in 1985. He had an interesting military career, enjoyed the "Reds", flying model airplanes and talking of his many family trips to California.
