Herman Edward Craig, 96, Greenfield, passed away on June 16, 2021 at his residence. Herman was born on March 22, 1925 in Byrdstown, TN to Winburn and Sarah (Storie) Craig. He was a 1944 graduate of Wilkinson High School. Herman worked in farm machinery as a parts manager, retiring in 1982, he had been a member of the Charlottesville LIONS Club. In his eighties, Herman became a member of the staff of McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Herman was an avid camper, and enjoyed many camping trips with his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Craig is survived by his son, Mark Craig of Thomasville, GA; daughter, Nancy Craig of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jeffrey and Ellie; great grandchildren: Hannah Jill, Jackson and Aila. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maudrae, son, Jack and siblings: Thurman Craig, Thelma Broadwater, Ruby Foust, Ina Akers, Clarice Armstrong and Donald Craig. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
