Butch and family, sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I remember my Dad Marland Myers talking of growing up with your Dad and uncles. I'm sure they went to barber school together. Your Dad would stop by the fields sometimes when I was working and I enjoyed our conversations. My family had a great deal of respect for the Whitakers and the farm community we all grew up in. Sincerely, Mark Myers

You were the BEST Grandpa, Great Grandpa, & Great Great Grandpa anyone could ask for. I was one lucky girl to grow up on the farm with you and Grandma. You taught me to ride a bike, shoot free throws, to care for my steers, and to drive a tractor. You wiped my tears with your handkerchief, and let me win at checkers...the list is endless. Thanks for all the memories, give Grandma a hug from all of us. Love always, Your Babesy

After we lost Lyle and Mary Ann, Howard and I had a lot of long talks (mostly by phone) remembering different things about Lyle and how Mary Ann and I would share the family stories. I enjoyed being part of your life. Love always. Rusty

I have so many wonderful memories growing up. One of my favorite memories was watching you and my dad work on the airplane together in our yard. I loved our times together on the hill too. Your ear tweaks and big hugs will not be forgotten. Love always and forever.
