Jean Stallings Lewis

Jean Stallings Lewis, passed away at home peacefully with her husband by her side on Wednesday June 15^th.  She was born to William and Ethel Rew on August 13, 1928 in Ipswitch, Australia.  She came to America in 1946 at the age of 17, after World War II.

She worked at Delco Remy for 32 ½ years before retiring in 1993.  She also spent 20 years as a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant.  After retirement she and her husband Jack, toured the United States in their motorhome and made trips to Hawaii and several trips to Australia visiting relatives. For 28 years she and Jack wintered in their home in Rockledge, Florida.

Jean is survived by her husband, Jack Lewis of Anderson; son, David Stallings; sisters, Delle-Mae Johnston and Dawn Hunt, both of Australia; granddaughters, Angela Walker of Indianapolis, Debbie Walker of Anderson, Jeanette White of Anderson, April Moore of Martinsville, Misty Nelson of Oklahoma; niece, Sandra Potts of Indianapolis; nephew, Kent Pauley of Sheridan and several great  and great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are step children, Jackie Lewis and family, David Lewis and family, Pam Terhune and family and Tracy Johnson and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Thomas Rew, Peggy Faulkner, Aileen Pauley; daughters, Gail Walker, Glenda Moore and son Kenneth Stallings

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Jerry O’Neal officiating.  Entombment will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
