Jeanette Amsden Pock of Zionsville, IN, was born on September 20, 1939 to two loving, strong parents Chester and Grace Amsden. She grew up in Elkhart, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University and it was there she met her husband John Pock. She was a strong woman and good wife to her husband.
She was part of what’s right with America and provided education to communities and schools on the effects of drug and alcohol abuse as Director of the National Federation of Parents for a Drug-free Youth. Jean was awarded the highest civilian award in the state, The Sagamore of the Wabash, by the Governor of Indiana.
When young and when older, she had a presence of warmth, grace and respectability. She shared her joyous smile with others and friends.
Jean was a loving and entirely devoted mother to her husband, children and family. She found ways to make things happen and did the right thing in work and with family and in life.
Jean passed on December 21, 2023 the darkest day of the year. But she gave that light that she had onto others and unto heaven. We will miss her beyond measure.
