Jerry Lee Moore, 64, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, March 10. He was born October 15, 1950, in Indianapolis to the late John and Alfreada (Burge) Moore.Jerry was a long-time resident of Martinsville and demolition derby enthusiast who was presented with a Morgan County Demolition Derby Lifetime Membership award by the Fair Board president.Jerry is survived by his daughters, Sarah Moore of Whiteland and Missy (Steele) Russell of Martinsville; his brother, Terry Moore of Mooresville; and six grandchildren, Trenton, Trisha, Trevor, Elijah, Autumn, and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Oaks.A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 18, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Avenue in Indianapolis, with calling from 1 PM until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jerry’s daughters.
