Jesse C. Jent

Jesse Clarence Jent of Anderson, Indiana passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.  He was born on October 3, 1938 to the late Jessie and Gracie (Phipps) Jent.

Jesse was a hardworking man who served our country proud in the U.S. Army. He also worked for General Motors for 34 ½ years in skill trades, tool making, etc.  Jesse was a lifetime member of Amvets, member of the Eagles in Alexandria and Anderson, and a member of the American Legions in Anderson and Alexandria as well.  Jesse was also a member of Main Street Church of God.  In his spare time he really enjoyed camping, fishing, and listening to pure country music.

Jesse is survived by his lovely wife, Carolyn Jent; sons, Richard (Karen) Vess, and Ron (Toni) Humes; daughter, Sandra (Charles) Baynes; brothers, Dallas (Melanie) Jent, and Art (Shelley) Jent; sister, Thelma (Phil) Warner; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jaylene Roberts; sisters, Wilma Gustin and Kathy Garrett.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN, 46013.  The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Don Billey officiating. Burial will be a Parkview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Alzheimer’s Association.
