Angel wings and garden things,
Flower spirit of colorful art,
Bits of wisdom and magic,
Her stories did impart,
The secrets of the garden fairies,
And where they frequently flew,
Invisible to the ordinary,
Brilliant to the few,
The people in her life,
She blessed uniquely every day,
With everything she said and did,
Note: All was done her way,
A teacher, counselor, gardener,
A friend, a love, an aunt,
She was always the kind of person,
Who never said I Cant.
Poppies, hyacinths, or cosmos,
It depended on each year,
The type of plant she looked for,
She one that shed hold dear,
But always Joanna Somers,
Showed love to those held close,
These were the bits and pieces of her world,
The ones that mattered most.

The lilies of the valley rang,
The garden fairies flew,
At the time you left for Heaven,
And all the angels knew,
Gods garden would be tended,
With more than expert care,
It would be loved and honored,
With Joanna Somers there,
The roses will smell sweeter,
Forget me nots will remind,
Foxgloves will be bolder,
And sunflowers real sunshine,
She will meet and greet every soul,
With a story of hers to share,
Thats because when shes around,
There are no strangers there,
Our hearts may grieve the loss of her,
But know in each rain fall,
She is up there watering the flowers,
And surely having a ball.
