John A. Kehoe

John A. Kehoe, 87, of Greenwood passed away at his home on Thursday, November 30, 2023, surrounded by his family.  John was born on March 6, 1936, in Shelbyville, IN to Frank and Rosemary (Rheme) Kehoe.  John was a 1954 graduate of Shelbyville High School where he was known for his athleticism and scholarship.   In 1958, John graduated from the University of Notre Dame.  On July 12, 1958, he married his wife, Maurine Roesken.  John spent his working career at Eli Lilly & Company as a Chemical Engineer.  In his free time, John was an avid fan of Notre Dame, model trains, traveling, and fishing.  He was a founding member of Ss. Francis & Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church where he also was also a member the Men’s Club.

John is survived by his children: two sons, Mark Kehoe, Michael (Amira) Kehoe; two daughters, Maureen (Bill) Little and Coleen (Tony) Alley; grandchildren: Sean, Stephanie, Taylor, Erynn, Brittany, Morgan, Kaitlynn and Ashtyn; six great grandchildren; his companion of over 20 years, Carol Edgar.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maurine and brother, Patrick Kehoe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Ss. Francis & Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 5901 West Olive Branch Rd. Greenwood, IN 46143 at 11:00 AM.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass at the church.  Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Ss. Frances & Clare Catholic Church in memory of John.
