John Meyer

June 5, 1948 - November 16, 2020

John William Meyer, 72, of Avon and formerly of Zionsville, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in Danville, Indiana. John was born to the late Earl and Ona Marie (Wisehart) Meyer in Indianapolis, Indiana.On December 31, 1966 John married his high school sweetheart, Donna Ross. After graduation John joined the United States Navy serving a total of four years, with two years in the reserves prior to high school graduation. After returning home from his tour, he and Donna went on to have their children, John Tyler and David Earl. Together they raised their two children in Zionsville. John and his family moved to both Minnesota and Wisconsin while working for Sears. They eventually ended up back home in Indiana.John is survived by his wife, Donna, two children John Tyler (Amber), children: Travis, Austin, and Renee, �and David Earl (Lauri) and children: Maryiah (Jared), with child Henry, Hailey, Marcus, Kayti, and Megan. He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Hunter.John is preceded in death by his brother, David Carl Meyer.All services will be private.
