Joyce K. Crosley

Joyce K. Crosley, 89, of Anderson, passed away on April 29, 2023 after an extended illness. Joyce was born on August 23, 1933 in New Maysville, IN to the late Fred Kendall, who died when Joyce was very young, and Juanita (Kendall) Ramsey. Juanita then went on to marry Thurman Ramsey who raised Joyce. She attended and graduated from Anderson High School in 1951. Joyce married the love of her life, Teddy “Ted” Crosley, on January 8, 1954. She then began working for Delco-Remy in the finance department and retired after nearly 40 years as the paymaster. She was awarded the first female 8^th level manager at Delco-Remy. Joyce was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Anderson Chapter #130, and of the Smyrna Shrine Guild International. She enjoyed knitting and canning fresh vegetables from the garden. She will always be remembered for her infamous “Crosley Pool Parties” that she hosted every summer. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joyce will be dearly missed by her children, Linda Fritz and Tom (Julie) Crosley; grandchildren, Nikki (Jacob) Bair, Joshua Crosley, Kyle (Yvonne) Alexander, and Mathew Alexander; great-grandchildren, Morgan (Dustin) Scott, Logan (Sarah-Beth) McCormick, Navaeh Crosley, Ayden Bair, Charlee Fletcher, Dalton Alexander, Caitriona Bair, and Elliot Fletcher; great-great-grandchildren, Oakley Scott and Gunner McCormick; brother, Wayne Ramsey; sister, Judi (Ramsey) McCoy; special grandchildren, Karrey Fox, Jeffery Fox, and Marilyn Joyce Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Kendall; mother and step-father, Juanita and Thurman Ramsey; husband, Teddy “Ted” Crosley; brother, Donald Ramsey; sisters, Mary Lou Cheatham and Betty Lee Ramsey; and nephew, Doug Cheatham.

The visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson 46013. The funeral ceremony will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park.
