Rena and I were runners together. She was a fierce competitor and when we were in the same age group, (we were for three years every five years) I knew I would be way behind her. We were in the KLA training group and she was such a good role model for so many, including me. We have missed her. Your family will be in our thoughts.

I first met Rena through the Cheer Guild at Riley Hospital where she co-chaired the Toy Room. Rena was so encouraging, and as we got better acquainted we discovered we shared a love of running. Once again Rena welcomed me by introducing me to her Ken Long running family. Her enthusiasm, competitive spirit and warm heart shaped that time of my life an continues to inspire me to volunteer, push myself to do hard things and welcome others. Rena has fought the good fight and finished the race, but her impact carries on.

Kim and family, I am sorry for your loss. I dearly loved Rena. I had the pleasure of working with her for nearly 15 years at Riley. She was a one of a kind lady and a great friend. She put everything she had into what she believed in. She loved fiercely and made such a powerful impact on so many! I was sorry to have lost touch with her a few years ago, but often thought about her. Sending much love to your family. Heather Dawes
