Julie Ann (Walker) Schnur, 62, of Whitestown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her home after a battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis on August 13, 1960, a daughter of the late Norman Wayne Walker and the late Penelope Anne (Phillips) Pike.
She graduated from Danville High School in 1978. On July 14, 1990, she was married to Daniel Schnur in Indianapolis.
A resident of Danville and Whitestown, Julie worked at Melvin Simon, then she focused on raising her children. Being committed to her faith, she was active in every church she attended and participated in KAIROS Prison Ministry. She was a 10-year Member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #410 in Whitestown. She volunteered at 21st Century Greater Works Ministry Food Pantry.
Julie loved her family and the times spent together. She was creative and made beautiful crafts of all types including baskets, crochet and bead work. Her happy place was in her garden and flower beds. She loved canning the vegetables she grew and creating flower arrangements.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Schnur and their son Andrew (Danielle) Schnur of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; her first husband Donald Lasley and their daughter, Jennifer Lasley (Alain) Charton of Ossey les Trois Maisons, France; her grandchildren, Sophia Charton, Simon Charton, and Amelia Schnur; her sisters, Daria (Don) Novak and Rhonda (Art) Schlangen; her brother, Robin Walker; her brothers and sisters-in-law, and her many nieces and nephews.
