June Richards, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 27, 2023. She was born on February 19, 1931, in Indianapolis to Guy and Naomi McCombs. June was a proud former President of the PTA at school #34, and a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved people, gospel music, and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Kathy (Chris) George, Paul W. Richards, and James (Debbie) Richards; sister: Anna Border; grandchildren: Nathan (Amber) Richards, Jacob Richards, James (Rina) George, Clarissa (Reggie) George, Caleb (Madison) George, and Julia (Charles) Baker; as well as great-grandchildren: Kyleigh Jones, Ezekiel McElwain, Harrison Richards, and McKenna George.
June is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Naomi McCombs; husband: Paul Richards; and children: Darlena Richards, and Timothy Richards ; sisters: Alice Marie Daniels, Ruth Ann Viles: and brothers: Harry McCombs, Jack McCombs, Gene McCombs, Ralph McCombs, and Carl McCombs.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
